Quick and clean work with Knauf Fire Protection Foam – FPF

The aim of passive fire protection systems is to ensure the generation and spread of fire and smoke are limited, as well as preserving escape routes for users of the building. To achieve this, a range of Knauf FireWin products and materials can be used in the design and construction of systems. Knauf invites you to look at Knauf FireWin fire protection solutions, and this time we introduce you to the Knauf FireWin's system Firestop-F, which includes Knauf Fire protection Foam - FPF.

Knauf Fire protection Foam - FPF is a two-component polyurethane, intumescent, fire protection foam stored in cartridges with halogen-free fire safety additives. These foams are intended for cable penetration seals, cable shelves, combustible and non-combustible pipes in walls and ceilings.

Quick and clean working

The fire protection foam is particularly suitable for the quick and flexible closure of small and medium fire partitions. A package with six cartridges of Knauf Fire Protection Foam FPF is supplied with twelve mixing attachments, six pairs of gloves as well as a formwork belt. The formwork belt is an excellent type of formwork aid for the Knauf Fire Protection Foam - FPF. The use of the new rechargeable battery cartridge Dynamic-Max, 380 ml allows several cartridges to be processed quickly and easily one after another.

Easy to use

The structure of the foam, which is permanently elastic after the reaction, makes a simple secondary application possible. Subsequent installations can be easily pushed through the existing foam. Gaps caused by the removal of cables or pipes are easily refilled with the Knauf Fire Protection Foam - FPF.

One product solution

If the fire resistance class EI 90 is required, the fire protection foam is a sufficient “one product solution”. No further material components or work steps are then required in order to create a permanent and reliable dense fire partition.

Optimal processing

The optimal match between the beginning of the reaction and hardening enables sufficiently long work interruptions for the user. After the curing of the foam it becomes intumescent in the event of a fire. The high viscosity of the material prevents the foam from drop of from the structural openings. The System Knauf Fire Protection Foam - FPF can be used to create combined partitions up to EI 90 or with additional cable tray shielding up to EI 120.
